Expanding AHRMA’s Communications Avenues!

AHRMA is deploying some exciting new technologies!  For example, the blog you are reading now, is brand new! We’ve also joined the social networking world by launching groups on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.  The newest web technology is our photo gallery on Smugmug!  With the recent deployment of the blog, several social networking sites, photo gallery, and other exciting technologies, the Communications Committee also has many new volunteer opportunities!  If you have questions about the technologies or are interested in volunteering, please email vpcommunications@austinhumanresource.org.

Blog

Launching the blog provides an opportunity for AHRMA to communicate more freely and frequently.  Each committee can provide up to the  minute updates, news, information, and links to resources! How is this different from the website, you ask?  The website is largely static content about AHRMA and our programs and requires a highly-skilled webmaster to update.  Draft posts on the blog can be created by any contributor, then reviewed and published by our content editor team.  Blogging is as easy to use as email, allowing for more timely updates almost directly from the source.

Blogs also allow comments from readers about the posts.  Readers can link directly to the posts on their own blogs or websites.  Plus, we can readily include links from other sources on AHRMA blog.  The AHRMA blog takes news and information to a whole new level of interactive communication.  Irma Verastegui is coordinating our efforts to blog as the Blog Champion!  If you are interested in participating or learning more about the blog, contact our Blog Champion.

Social Networking

AHRMA is on several social networking sites, with efforts led by Tom Daly.  If you would like more information about these resources, email our Social Networking Champion.  Look for us on:
