The U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau is hosting a meeting to discuss their Flex Option Program. The Women’s Bureau is an agency within the U.S. Department of Labor. Established in 1920, the mission of the Women’s Bureau is to formulate standards and policies to promote the welfare of wage-earning women, improve their working conditions, increase their efficiency, and advance their opportunities for profitable employment. One of their current programs is Flex Options, developed to assist business owners with implementing or expanding flexible work arrangements for their employees. There is no charge to participate in Flex Options.
The Women’s Bureau would like to invite members of AHRMA who are interested in learning more about flexible work arrangements to a meeting in Austin on Tuesday, March 17, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The meeting will be held at Humana, 1221 S. Mopac Expressway, #200. The meeting is FREE and there is FREE parking in the garage. Bring a brown bag lunch. At the meeting, you will meet Beverly Lyle, Regional Administrator of the Women’s Bureau. There will be a presentation by Rolando Balli, Dell Global Diversity & Inclusion, with plenty of time for Q&A.
Please RSVP as soon as possible to bischof.dolores@dol.gov, or call 972-850-4700. Seating is limited and reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more about the Flex Options program at www.flexoptions.org.
