Ramona Rohrer and Cathy Wodarski concluded the fantastic pilot program of Stepping Stones to Enhanced Leadership with a celebration during the March 26th meeting. Even as the pilot ended, planning for Series II of “Stepping Stones” was well under way. The “Stepping Stones” program is designed to assist AHRMA volunteer leaders with enhancing their leadership skills so most of the participants in the program are nominated by the Vice Presidents from their committee volunteers. However, in the spirit of the “Stepping Stones” mission to “Develop Future Leaders within the Human Resource Profession” we want to provide an opportunity for two AHRMA members to participate in this valuable leadership development program.
We are pleased to accept applications for “Stepping Stones” from the general membership. There are two seats in the program which AHRMA members are able to apply for. Our desire is to uncover the future HR stars among us and to get to know our members better.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
• Candidate must be an AHRMA member
• Agree to complete 24 hours of volunteer service with AHRMA within 12 months
• Ability to attend modules
• Application submitted by 5 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2009
SERIES II OVERVIEW
• Six 4-hour Modules (7 AM – 11 AM)
• Module Topics: Self Discovery, Building Collaborative Teams, Communication, Employee Engagement, Strategic Business Partner, Leadership
• HRCI Credit
• Dates: May 7th, July 23rd, Sept. 24th, Nov. 12th, Jan. 21st, Mar. 25th
