AHRMA Announces New Resource for Job Seekers

JOB SEARCH TOOL KIT

The AHRMA Workforce Readiness Committee announced this week the addition of a new resource on the AHRMA website called the Job Search Tool Kit.  The Tool Kit is designed to help job seekers in different areas of their job search through interactive e-learning modules. This resource is made possible through a grant to AHRMA from the Jobing Foundation, the corporate foundation of Jobing.com, in an effort to help positively impact the workforce readiness of both AHRMA members in transition, as well as the Greater Austin community.

Even the most experienced candidate can improve their job hunting skills. In today’s competitive job market, it is important that job seekers are doing everything they can to sharpen their skills and position themselves as the most qualified candidate for jobs to which they are applying. The Job Search Tool Kit helps them do just that.

The Job Search Tool Kit is an e-learning series that breaks down the components of securing a new position into simple, easy-to-follow lessons.  The modules are designed to be taken as either a full learning course or as stand-alone courses when a little extra help is needed in one particular area. The modules are given in presentation style and include an instructor speaking directly to the participants. At the end of the presentation, each module contains a short self-directed quiz to gauge the candidate’s understanding of the materials.

You can reach the Jobing Foundation’s Job Search Tool Kit by visiting www.austinhumanresource.org. Place your curser over the Member Resources area and click on Job Search Tool Kit. Please share this valuable resource with anyone you know in need of a little extra assistance with their job search.
