Compensation for the HR Generalist

Join CTCBA’s Vice President – Programs, Kim Walter, CCP, in this informative and timely session.

Take the mystery out of compensation!  By understanding the fundamentals, you will know how to create programs that attract, motivate, and retain employees.   In this workshop, we will cover compensation philosophies, elements of compensation, market pricing, job evaluation, and total rewards.  You will learn the techniques to incorporate these tools into the HR decisions you make on a daily basis.

Kim Walter is an HR consultant specializing in total rewards programs.   Her extensive compensation experience is primarily with technology companies; including developing comprehensive compensation programs for two start-up companies.   Most recently, she was the Sr. Manager of Worldwide Compensation and Benefits at Borland Software, where she designed and taught the compensation training for line managers.

This session will be conducting July 23rd, 2009 from 1:30-4:30 at the Omni Southpark Hotel (IH-35 and US 71E, Austin). This session is pending HRCI approval for 3.0 CEU’s.
