KUDOS FOR EVENTS, INITIATIVES & LEADERSHIP!!
Your AHRMA 2009 Board continues to provide its membership with excellent events, initiatives, and leadership. Firstly, the TALENT | TECHNOLOGY | TOMORROW Conference in August met with RAVE REVIEWS!! The Thursday afternoon workshops, “Building Trust in the Workplace” presented by Dr. Monica Scamardo and “Shape the Future of HR in Your Organization” presented by Alice Dendinger, both were STRATEGIC standing-room only events.
Networking Night featured one of Austin’s favorite recording sensations, Jimmy LaFave, and drew crowds of HR professionals. The buzz was this was one of the best events ever and that AHRMA should continue with this practice every year. The delicious food and beverages added to provide a convivial atmosphere in which to meet with old friends and make new ones.
Friday was jam-packed with Keynote and Luncheon Speakers and four tracks of topics including Technology, Legal, Development, and Media. Ryan Estis’ ”Employee Branding 2.0” was so “right on” for the Conference theme and launched the day in great style. Thom Singer’s luncheon presentation, “Some Assembly Required,” provided the audience with great ideas on how to build a network of business contacts to develop a successful career. Overall feedback on the twelve workshops was that topics were very aligned with current trends and provided a wealth of relevant information.
