As children we all had heros. It could have been the teacher who taught us to read a favorite book; or a policeman who walked us safely across the street; perhaps a local fireman who let us slide down the firehall pole; maybe a nurse who put a band-aid on an “owie” and made it stop hurting. Well, my heros of 2009 are ALL OF AHRMA’s VOLUNTEERS!!
Volunteers give willingly of a precious commodity – their time. They give their time freely and lovingly to their professional organization – AHRMA. In keeping with AHRMA’s mission, the theme for 2009 has been: “The Gift of Giving: to the membership, the profession, and the community.” All of AHRMA’s 2009 volunteers have done this – a thousand-fold.
