Although I have the honor and privilege of announcing the accomplishment of a membership goal that we have strived to reach for several years, it is truly a combined effort of numerous committees. It takes the amazing work of many volunteer committees putting in hard work to make AHRMA the professional association that it is and to then go out in the community to promote AHRMA.
So on behalf of our chapter, SHRM and, most importantly, the volunteers that devote countless hours to the work of AHRMA, I am ecstatic to announce that SHRM has provided AHRMA with official notification that we have reached Super Mega status as an affiliate chapter. To put it another way, due to the value HR professionals find in AHRMA, we have exceeded 1,000 members. AHRMA is one of only three chapters in Texas to receive the highest membership category. Super Mega status will allow AHRMA various advantages, one of which is we will receive additional revenue from SHRM to further the work of AHRMA.
All of our committees have played a vital role in enabling AHRMA to be an association that others can find professional value in their membership. Although I cannot recognize all of the efforts of our committees that contributed to this awesome achievement due to time, I would like to recognize a few:
Workforce Readiness Committee: For reaching out to numerous community officials and organizations to create a partnership to bridge the workforce readiness gaps.
Communications Committee: For providing us with all of the most technologically advanced tools to disseminate all the opportunities and value add that AHRMA offers.
Programming Committee: For delivering stellar speakers and programming that make it easy for others to find value in membership.
And last, but certainly not least, the Membership Committee: For constantly promoting AHRMA, creating various membership opportunities and reaching out to the prospective and members to share all AHRMA offers.
It is the work of all of the AHRMA committees that has allowed us to reach this new level of achievement. Thank you for your continued efforts to promote the terrific value of AHRMA membership! This is an accomplishment we can all be proud of.
