Dear AHRMA:
Your current President stands on the shoulders of the Presidents who came before them and so now we have come full circle from December 2008 when the 2009 Executive Committee was installed and we begin the process of passing the gavel to your new President – my friend and colleague, Diontha Fancher.
It has been an honor and a privilege for me to serve you this year and your Executive Committee has worked diligently to fulfill the 2009 theme of The Gift of Giving: to the membership, the profession, and the community. We have achieved SUPER MEGA STATUS at 1,000+ members; won a prestigious PINNACLE AWARD for our leadership development program – Stepping Stones to Enhanced Leadership; and launched a successful new committee – WORFORCE READINESS. We have continued to advance our technology and thus communication capabilities; and we have continued to provide excellent programs and other initiatives to support your professional development. What an amazing year of accomplishments this has been!!
I wish to express my gratitude to the 2009 Executive Committee, all the volunteers, but especially, you the membership, for the opportunity to serve AHRMA this year. Thank you for the “gift” you have given me – the joy of serving our professional organization. Your “Standing O” at the Holiday Luncheon was the crowning jewel on this amazing year – I will treasure all the memories for a lifetime!!
